Johanna von Trapp

Austrian-American singer from a noted family, as the sixth child and fourth daughter of Georg von Trapp and his first wife, Agathe Whitehead von Trapp. She was a member of the Trapp Family Singers, whose lives inspired the 1959 Broadway musical and the 1965 Academy Award-winning Best Picture The Sound of Music. In the film she was portrayed by Debbie Turner as the character "Marta". She was also portrayed in the West German films The Trapp Family (1956) and The Trapp Family in America (1958).

She married Ernst Florian Winter in 1948 and had seven children (three sons - one died at a young age - and four daughters). She died on 25 November 1994 at age 75.
