Biography
In 1969 the Hara Kiri team created Hara-Kiri Hebdo which shortly thereafter was renamed L’Hebdo Hara-Kiri. The weekly political newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, was created in 1970 and Bernier became a regular contributor.
Bernier was the father of the comedienne Michèle Bernier. He died in Paris at 7 a.m. on 10 January 2005, aged 75.
