This created an internal conflict between the wish for isolation and the external role as a rescuer.

His natural talents were often unconscious; he developed strength when success and determination were confirmed. However, this prima donna trait could anger or offend others by awakening unrealistic expectations before actual success was visible. In crisis times, his ability to adapt showed through extreme stances.
