Terrorist: June 2017 London attacks

British Islamist terrorist incident in which three people conducted two attacks in central London. A white van rammed multiple pedestrians on London Bridge. Three men in the van then ran to Borough Market where a stabbing attack took place in multiple restaurants. Witnesses reported that the attackers shouted "This is for Allah" and stabbed patrons with knives.

Eight people were killed and 48 injured in the attack. Three suspects were shot dead by police. The Metropolitan Police declared the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks to be "terrorist incidents". Multiple explosions subsequently heard near Borough Market were confirmed to be controlled explosions.

The eight members of the public who were killed included a Spaniard, a Briton, two Australians, a Canadian and three French citizens. The French were chef Sébastien Bélanger, 36, Alexandre Pigeard, 26, and Xavier Thomas, 45. The Australians were nurse Kirsty Boden, 28, born in Loxton, South Australia, and nanny Sara Zelenak, 21, born on 18 November 1995 in Brisbane, Queensland (according to her public Facebook profile). The others are Canadian social worker Christine Archibald, 30, Spaniard Ignacio Echeverría, 39, and Londoner James McMullan, 32.

The attackers were Khuram Shazad Butt, 31 (born 20 April 1986 in Pakistan), Rachid Redouane, 30 (born 31 July 1986, claimed to be either Moroccan or Libyan) and Youssef Zaghba, 22 (born in January 1995 in Fez, Morocco).
