Neymar

Brazilian soccer forward, widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. He has played for Santos (2009–2013), Barcelona (2013-2017) and Paris Saint-Germain (2017-), and for the Brazilian national team. In 2019, Forbes ranked Neymar the world's third highest-paid athlete (after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo) with earnings of $105 million for the calendar year.

At age 19 Neymar became the father of a baby boy, born at 11 AM on 24 August 2011. The baby, Davi Lucca, was born in São Paulo to Carolina Dantas. Neymar is not in a relationship with her. Neymar was quoted as saying "I cried when I learned that I would be his father. At first, I felt fear. Then joy. It is a new responsibility and I am now enjoying it." He later described the birth of his baby boy as "2.8 kilograms of pure happiness" and also said "Mother and baby are in good condition just after childbirth". Since 2013, he's dating the Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine.

During the 2014 World Cup, Neymar was seriously wounded in his back (fractured vertebra) as a result of the violent intervention of Columbian Zuniga. Neymar was fit again on 18 August 2014, when he played for his club Barcelona.
