Biography
Danish actor in plays, films and television roles, best known for his character "Ali Bubbas Barkhar" in the Ørkenens Sønner ("Sons of the Desert"), a Danish comedy quartet. The Ørkenens Sønner also includes Niels Olsen, Henrik Koefoed and Søren Pilmark. The quartet, known for wearing tuxedos and fez while delivering sultry humour and singing, has been performing since 1991, but only became well known in 1997.
Reher graduated from the Acting School at the Aarhus Theatre in 1978 and was employed at the theatre for the following four years, before he went to Copenhagen and landed roles at the Royal Danish Theatre, e.g. in the plays The Political Tinker, Jeppe on the Hill, Hamlet and Death of a Salesman.
He has also participated in several revues, including the Nykøbing F. Revyen. In 2005 he received the Dirch of the Year (Revue Artist of the Year award) at the Revyers Revy ("The Revue of Revues").
Together with Eva Nevel, Reher has a son, Matias. He lives in Copenhagen.
