Lucile Randon

French nun and supercentenarian living to the age of 118 years and 340 days, she had been the world's oldest verified living person since 19 April 2022, following the death of Kane Tanaka. She was the oldest known survivor of the COVID-19 pandemic, having tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 a month before her 117th birthday. She was the oldest living person in France since the death of Honorine Rondello on 19 October 2017.

Born into a Protestant family, she had a twin sister, Lydie (11 February 1904 – 4 August 1905), born at 5:00 AM.

She worked as a governess and teacher in Marseille. She moved to Paris and became a Roman Catholic clergywoman (Fille de la Charité) known as Sister André, named in tribute to her dead brother André, and then she worked at the hospital of Vichy where she helped war orphans.

Lucile Randon resided in a nursing home in Toulon, France, from 2009 until she died in her sleep on 17 January 2023. Following her death, María Branyas Morera became the world's oldest validated living person.
