Paula Broadwell

American writer, academic and former military officer, who co-wrote with Vernon Loeb All In: The Education of General David Petraeus (2012), an authorized biography of then International Security Assistance Force commander David Petraeus. On 9 November 2012, her 40th birthday, she was reported to have been involved in the extramarital affair with Petraeus that triggered his resignation as Director of the CIA when it was discovered by the FBI. An anti-terrorism professional, she served in the US Army on active and reserve duty for over 20 years, with academic and intelligence experience in over 70 countries. She is the co-founder and co-director of the Think Broader Foundation, a media consulting firm that focuses on addressing gender bias in the media and society.
