Biography
He played with the Braves from 14 March 1954 when he made his debut against the Boston Red Sox with a thrilling three-hit game. He was called the Greatest Slugger in Baseball History. However, his impressive success had a down side, as it made his life a living hell with hate-mail from bigots and threats so ugly that he was forced to travel with a bodyguard.
When he retired in 1976, he had not only scored a lifetime total of 755 homers in his 22-year career, but the love and respect of his teammates and the reverence of his many fans. On 8 April 1994, a pre-game ceremony was scheduled to honor Aaron.
After his retirement, Aaron held front office roles with the Atlanta Braves, including senior vice president. In 1999, MLB introduced the Hank Aaron Award to recognize the top offensive players in each league. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002.
His only health problem was sore knees. Aaron married twice and had six children. He died in his sleep on 22 January 2021, two weeks shy of his 87th birthday, in Atlanta.
Human Design Analysis: Hank Aaron as Projector 4/6
Hank Aaron is a Projector in Human Design – a non-energy type designed to guide and direct others. Projectors make up about 20% of humanity and have a special gift for recognizing and directing the energies and talents of others.
The Projector's strategy is to wait for the right, respectful invitation before contributing their guidance. Without an invitation, the Projector's wisdom is often unrecognized or even rejected.
When Hank Aaron lives in alignment with their design, they experience success and recognition. The Projector's not-self theme is bitterness – a sign that their wisdom and guidance isn't being valued.
Hank Aaron has Emotional Authority – the most common authority. Decisions should never be made in an emotional high or low, but only when emotional clarity settles in. "Sleep on it" is meant literally here. The emotional wave needs time to run its course.
Hank Aaron carries the profile 4/6 – Opportunist / Role Model. The 4th line represents the Networker: influence and impact unfold through personal relationships and a strong social network. The 6th line represents the Role Model: a life path in three phases – first experimenting (until ~30), then observing from the "roof" (until ~50), and finally authentically embodying the role model.
The incarnation cross "Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx 1" describes the overarching life purpose and direction of Hank Aaron in Human Design. It consists of the four gate activations of Sun and Earth (personality and design) and only becomes felt when one lives their strategy and authority.
