Biography
After a very brief marriage to actress Jean Acker (that was never consummated), the great film lover married Natacha Rambova on 15 March 1922 in Mexicali, Mexico. Rambova soon took charge of, and most say, misdirected Valentino's career. She antagonized studio execs to the point of having her barred from the sets. Valentino's divorce from Acker had not been finalized at the time of his marriage to Rambova and he was jailed on charges of bigamy. Valentino and Rambova divorced in 1925. The end of the marriage was bitter, with Valentino bequeathing Rambova one dollar in his will.
Valentino died of peritonitis due to a ruptured appendix on 23 August 1926 at age 31 in New York City. An estimated 100,000 people lined the streets of Manhattan to pay their respects at his funeral. After his death he was idolized as a cult figure.
The Human Design of Rudolph Valentino: Manifestor 3/5
Rudolph Valentino is a Manifestor in Human Design – the only type designed to initiate things independently. Manifestors make up only about 9% of humanity and are naturally independent.
The Manifestor's strategy is to inform others clearly and early enough about their intentions before taking action. This reduces resistance and allows the Manifestor's natural impact to unfold freely.
When Rudolph Valentino lives in alignment with their design, they experience deep peace. The Manifestor's not-self theme is anger – a sign that the natural urge to initiate is being suppressed or obstructed.
Rudolph Valentino has Emotional Authority – the most common authority. Decisions should never be made in an emotional high or low, but only when emotional clarity settles in. "Sleep on it" is meant literally here. The emotional wave needs time to run its course.
Rudolph Valentino carries the profile 3/5 – Martyr / Heretic. The 3rd line represents the Experimenter: learning through trial and error, embracing life as a practical experiment and growing wise through experience. The 5th line represents the Hero and Savior: others project expectations and hopes onto this line, which can deliver practical solutions for universal problems.
The incarnation cross "Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx 2" describes the overarching life purpose and direction of Rudolph Valentino in Human Design. It consists of the four gate activations of Sun and Earth (personality and design) and only becomes felt when one lives their strategy and authority.
