His emotional system was characterized by the defined Solar Plexus Center. Here lay his inner authority: he needed time to let the waves of his feelings run their course before gaining clarity and making decisions. Impulsive reactions to emotional highs or lows led to chaos for him; patience was key to his emotional intelligence and depth.

At the same time, Godfried Danneels was open to external influences in several areas. His open Throat Center made him vulnerable to the pressure of forcing attention through constant speaking, even though he actually needed to wait for an invitation to speak. The open G Center meant that he did not have a fixed identity or life direction but received these through the right places and relationships; at the wrong place, he felt lost.
