Biography

American perky, sexy, blonde TV actress who made it big. She appeared on two prime time series simultaneously, playing gentle Stacy in "T.J. Hooker" 1982-1987, and nasty Sammy Jo on "Dynasty" 1981-1989. Her nighttime soap, "Melrose Place" celebrated one hundred episodes on 20 September 1995.

Locklear appeared in commercials as a spokesperson for L'Oreal hair color. In real life she's known for being as sweet as she is adorable with her pixie grin and bubbly personality. The youngest of four in a close-knit family, she began to model during her freshman year at UCLA. When TV beckoned, she quit school to act full time.

Heather was married for seven years, 1986-1993, to heavy metal rocker Tommy Lee, the drummer for Motley Crew. Explaining the apparent mismatch, she said that she was exploring her dark side, "rebelling through Tommy," a tattooed, teased-haired wild man. In February 1994, she met Richie Sambora, lead guitar for Bon Jovi. They married in a civil ceremony on 15 December 1994 at his Rumson, NJ home, with a second formal ceremony two days later in Paris. Their first child, Ava Elizabeth presented herself on 4 October 1997 after 35 hours of labor, finally resulting in a C-section.

Locklear joined the cast of "Spin City" in 1999.

On 2 February 2006, the actress announced that she had filed for a divorce from her husband, rocker Richie Sambora, to whom the news reportedly came as a huge surprise. On 24 June 2008 she checked herself into a treatment center in Arizona for treatment of depression and anxiety. She has since had a couple of arrests for driving offences in 2008 and 2010, and a brief hospitalization for a drug overdose on 13 January 2012.

Heather Locklear — Generator with Profile 5/1

Generator 5/1 — Design at a Glance

Heather Locklear's design points to a tendency towards great endurance and strength, comparable to a workhorse that generates energy as long as it is fueled for its task. As a Generator, she had a lot of sacral energy, which was released not through self-initiation but by responding to impulses from life. The motto of her design was: don't start, but respond.

Her most successful strategy was to wait for signals and then act when her sacral center gave a clear 'yes'. When she acted in harmony with this inner signal, she was rewarded with deep satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment. If she did not live by this principle, for example by constantly initiating herself or doing things she did not enjoy, this led sooner or later to persistent frustration and a lack of energy. Two stumbling blocks characterized this pattern: on the one hand, wasting energy on tasks she disliked, which led to burnout, and on the other hand, holding back from her heart's project even though the power was still there. Her design therefore required her to react from the gut to effectively use her immense endurance.

Emotional Authority

Heather Locklear's design points to a tendency towards emotional wave movement, which significantly shaped her inner decision-making. As a person with defined Emotional Authority, she was subject to a constant up and down of her feelings, making the world appear colored by the current mood. What was seen as exciting in one moment could be viewed negatively in the next. This mechanism means that the feeling in the moment is merely a snapshot and not a final judgment. Quick, spontaneous decisions made from such an emotional state often proved problematic, as they were based on fleeting impulses, not deeper clarity.

Her design's strategy therefore required patience and the conscious postponement of decisions. By taking the time to let a choice mature – often through multiple nights of reflection – she could let the intense feelings subside. Only with this emotional distance did true calm and clarity set in. This process was particularly crucial for long-term, life-changing steps. The Emotional Authority always takes precedence over other defined centers, regardless of further configurations in the chart. Heather Locklear had to take her time and ask herself multiple times to ensure that her decisions were based on the deep truth of her emotional nature, not on fleeting whims.

The 5/1 Profile — Heretic / Investigator

Heather Locklear's design points to a tendency towards a dual role: that of the deep researcher, who gathers knowledge, and the hero, who offers this knowledge to others to solve their problems. As a 5/1, she had a nearly magnetic presence that made others seek her solutions. This created a tension: while she loved the process of learning and new challenges, she was quickly drained by the constant expectations of her environment if clear boundaries were not set.

Her design emphasized the need to find rhythm and timing to achieve success. Line 5 often projected expectations and crisis solutions, while Line 1 demanded that she first take a pause and think thoroughly before acting. This pressure to commit and provide energy for concentration could lead to overload if she released energy too early. The challenge lay in having to weather the consequences of her actions while simultaneously maintaining the calm needed to soothe the energy. Only through learning to say no could she maintain the balance between her own research work and problem-solving for others.

Single Definition — Defined & Open Centers

Heather Locklear's design points towards a stable, magnetic presence that is not dependent on external validation. Her defined G Center gave her a reliable sense of self-identity and a clear sense of direction. She could love others without clinging to them and acted as a natural anchor in uncertain times. This inner security contrasted with her emotional depth: Her defined Solar Plexus Center required patience. Truth revealed itself to her only after she had run the emotional wave. Impulsive decisions at the peaks or troughs of this wave led to chaos; only through waiting did she achieve emotional clarity.

At the same time, she possessed an enormous vital force through her defined Sacral Center. This inner motor generated constant energy, but it could only be effectively utilized through reaction, not initiation. A confirming sacral response was the key to avoiding exhaustion and finding satisfaction. The defined Root Center provided the necessary pressure to move forward and master existential challenges.

The open centers shaped her vulnerabilities. The open Head Center tended to engage with foreign questions and doubts, which could lead to mental overload if she did not trust her inner authority. The open Ajna Center made her mind flexible but vulnerable to the adoption of foreign opinions. Especially challenging was the open Heart Center: It lacked the consistent energy for willpower and promises. She tended to want to prove herself through overcompensation, which led to a cycle of self-doubt if she did not recognize that she had nothing to prove. The open Spleen Center amplified survival fears and the risk of clinging to unhealthy situations to gain a false sense of security.

Channels for focus, endurance and emotional clarity.

Heather Locklear's design points towards extreme focus, paired with a deep, often unconscious drive to lose oneself in experiences to discover their meaning. This configuration created an inner tension between the need to hold still to perfect details and the emotional hunger for new, intense experiences.

The Channel of Concentration 52-9 connected the Root Center with the Sacral Center. Through Gate 52 (Non-action) and Gate 9 (Focus) a calm, passive pressure to still the body and senses was created. This allowed for precise energy to be directed towards facts and patterns to correct and perfect them. This formative energy shaped the entire design: Logic and step-by-step analysis were at the forefront, as long as they were guided by the sacral reaction. Without a clear focus felt to be correct, this energy could become restless or depressing.

At the same time, the Channel of Discovery 29-46, connecting the Sacral Center with the G Center, drove the experience forward with the persistence and endurance of Gate 29 (Saying Yes) while Gate 46 (Self-Determination) established the connection to life direction. This channel demanded the release of expectations and a complete surrender to the process to ultimately make a deep discovery. Success did not come through control, but through patient perseverance until completion.

Additionally, the Channel of Recognition 41-30 linked the root pressure (Gate 41, Limitation) with the emotional wave (Gate 30, Feeling Recognition). This generated a strong drive for new experiences and a strong desire to feel life deeply. The restlessness for the 'New' had to be balanced with patience and waiting for emotional clarity to avoid intense, unclear situations.

Furthermore, Gate 25 (Innocence, Mysticism) and Gate 58 (Experiment, Perfection) contributed to her spiritual stance and the ability to recognize and correct patterns. Gate 42 (Experience, Conclusion) and Gate 59 (Coupling, Genetics) in the Personality aspect emphasized the importance of commitment and genetic strategy, while Gate 60 (Acceptance, Mutation) channeled the pressure for transformation through creativity.

Collective Circuitry — Circuit Signature

Heather Locklear's design points towards structured focus, paired with deep emotional reflection. Her simple definition connected the Sacral, Root, Solar Plexus, and G Centers into a single, coherent energetic flow. This created an integrated experience where inner impulses directly translated into identity and emotional clarity.

The Understanding Circuit worked through her via the Channel of Concentration. This connected the Sacral with the Root Center. It was focused, rational energy that promoted structured future visions without emotional filtering. This 'emotionless ratio' served to share logical insights and develop strategies.

Parallel to this, the Meaning Circuit shaped her experience. Here, two separate segments were active: The Identity with the Sacral Center and the Solar Plexus with the Root Center. This configuration linked emotional waves from the past with personal identity. She reflected on past experiences to draw meaning from them and share these emotional insights with others. The cyclical nature of emotions met the stable, identity-forming power of the G Center. Thus, a pattern emerged where rational structure and emotional depth coexisted without interfering with each other, but expressing themselves in their respective domains.

Left Angle Cross of Healing 2

Heather Locklear's design points to a deep, often unconscious search for inner wholeness. This configuration, known as the left healing cross 2, describes a life dynamic that aims less at external achievement or socially recognized success and more at integrating pain and experience into a coherent self-understanding.

For this profile, the path to personal stability is not a linear process of achievement but a cyclical immersion into one's psyche. The energy of this cross acts like an inner compass, guiding Heather Locklear to engage with the darker or more complex aspects of her nature, not to suppress them but to understand and transform them. This showed as a constant back-and-forth between the desire to withdraw for processing and the need to translate these inner insights into her relationship with the outside world.

The challenge lay in not misunderstanding this intensive inner work as isolation but as a necessary process of self-healing. Her design promoted an attitude that saw mistakes and setbacks not as final defeats but as essential lessons for the development of an authentic identity. This fostered a foundation of resilience based on the understanding that true strength arises from accepting one's vulnerability, not from denying it. This mechanism shaped her approach to life crises: through deep reflection and the gradual restoration of inner balance.

Saturn Return · Uranus Opposition · Chiron Return · 2nd Saturn Return — Life Cycles

Heather Locklear's design shaped a dynamic in which external evaluations and personal crises acted as catalysts for internal structuring. In 1990, at the age of 29, she won a Golden Raspberry Award for her role in "The Toxic Avenger." This marks the first Saturn return. In Human Design mechanics, years of groundwork often condense into a solid result at this point; public criticism or failures can serve as necessary corrections to free one's identity from external expectations and establish it on a more stable foundation.

A second significant cycle began in 2010, when Heather Locklear, at the age of 49, was arrested for a traffic violation. This falls within the period of the Chiron return. This cycle is not a process of emotional healing, but rather a fulfillment cycle. If the person has followed their strategy and authority, the incarnation cross unfolds increasingly in everyday life during this period. The seemingly chaotic event of the arrest fits into this blossoming phase: it forces confrontation with one's own limits and structures, thereby making the deeper meaning and purpose of the design experiential. The mechanics show that external disturbances often serve as triggers in these phases to solidify inner order and clarify the life path.

Generator · Emotional Authority — Synthesis

Heather Locklear's design shows a deep continuity in the connection between sacral energy and the need to use it purposefully. As a Generator, she is built to respond to life and work on things that truly inspire her – a process that is amplified by the focus (Channel 52/9) to grasp details and give form. This ability to focus is supported by the defined direction (G Center), which provides a clear inner compass and the urge to lead others. The Profile as Hero/Researcher underscores this tendency to deepen knowledge and offer solutions, where emotional authority requires careful maturation of decisions to recognize her own inner truth.

A central paradox lies in the tension between the ability to generate deep concentration and formative energy and the emotional waves that slow down and complicate decisions. Although she has the energy to materialize things, she needs time to ensure that her decisions align with her inner feelings. This leads to an inner dynamic in which the need for quick action (sacral energy) is tempered by the necessity of emotional clarity – a tension field that is evident in documented events that include both successes (1990) and challenges (2010).
