Jason Newsted's Design shows a tendency towards a cyclical shift between deep withdrawal and active network engagement. As a person with Profile 2/4, often described as a "Natural Talent/Networker," he was constantly in a tension between the need for solitude (Line 2) and the desire to spend time with familiar people (Line 4).

This configuration requires clear communication to the outside world: when is company desired, and when is undisturbed "me-time" necessary? During his withdrawal phase, Jason Newsted immersed himself in internal processes to find peace and clarity. The Devotion Channel 44-26 connects the Spleen and Heart Centers. It uses instinctive vigilance (Gate 44) to recognize threats or improvements and combines this with the ego's willpower (Gate 26). This allowed selling products or ideologies to the tribe that represented an improvement, often before they themselves recognized the need. It was an entrepreneurial energy that expected recognition and resources as a reward for the generated value.

Additionally, Gates like 35 (Change through Interaction) and 64 (Clarity from Past Experiences) were at work. Gate 13 promoted collective memory and continuity, while Gate 40 linked the will to work with the expectation of rest and recognition.
