Biography
The eldest son of Charles I and IV, the last emperor of Austria and king of Hungary, and his wife, Zita of Bourbon-Parma, Otto was born as Franz Joseph Otto Robert Maria Anton Karl Max Heinrich Sixtus Xaver Felix Renatus Ludwig Gaetan Pius Ignatius von Habsburg, third in line to the thrones, as Archduke Otto of Austria, Royal Prince of Hungary, Bohemia, and Croatia. With his father's accession in 1916, he was likely to become emperor and king. As his father never abdicated, Otto was considered by himself, his family and Austro-Hungarian legitimists to be the rightful emperor-king from his father's death in 1922. Otto was exiled in 1919 and grew up mostly in Spain. His devout Catholic mother raised him according to the old curriculum of Austria-Hungary, preparing him to become a Catholic monarch. During his life in exile, he lived in Austria, Belgium, France, Madeira (Portugal), Spain, Switzerland, the US, and from 1954 until his death, in Bavaria (Germany), in the residence Villa Austria.
What does Projector 4/6 mean for Otto von Habsburg?
Otto von Habsburg is a Projector in Human Design – a non-energy type designed to guide and direct others. Projectors make up about 20% of humanity and have a special gift for recognizing and directing the energies and talents of others.
The Projector's strategy is to wait for the right, respectful invitation before contributing their guidance. Without an invitation, the Projector's wisdom is often unrecognized or even rejected.
When Otto von Habsburg lives in alignment with their design, they experience success and recognition. The Projector's not-self theme is bitterness – a sign that their wisdom and guidance isn't being valued.
Otto von Habsburg has Self-Projected Authority – a rare authority found only in Projectors. Decision-making happens through identity: "Do I feel like myself with this decision?" Self-talk or speaking thoughts aloud to trusted people can help find clarity.
Otto von Habsburg carries the profile 4/6 – Opportunist / Role Model. The 4th line represents the Networker: influence and impact unfold through personal relationships and a strong social network. The 6th line represents the Role Model: a life path in three phases – first experimenting (until ~30), then observing from the "roof" (until ~50), and finally authentically embodying the role model.
The incarnation cross "Right Angle Cross of Contagion 4" describes the overarching life purpose and direction of Otto von Habsburg in Human Design. It consists of the four gate activations of Sun and Earth (personality and design) and only becomes felt when one lives their strategy and authority.
