Pope Clement XII's design showed the layout of a projector: an aura not designed for constant self-energy but rather to precisely recognize and show others what was still not working for them. This focused, dense emanation could be felt as intrusive in the surroundings - comparable to a bright flashlight directing its light directly onto the dark spots on the counterpart. A projector often saw the other person's system error immediately; if he addressed it without being asked, his counterpart reacted slightly irritated. It was smarter when a projector invited others through their own coherent actions - then they came of their own accord and asked for advice. The sustainable strategy therefore lay in waiting for a respectful, sincerely meant invitation, not in self-initiated pushing forward.

Since the sacral center in projectors is undefined, Pope Clement XII also did not have consistent life energy from himself. This marked him with alternating phases of high, fast creative power and phases where rest was necessary to avoid burnout. If a projector lived according to this design, success would result; if not, bitterness as a non-self theme threatened.

Ego Authority

Pope Clement XII's design pointed towards an authority that did not lie in feeling or gut processes but in the spoken word itself: The authority of the ego, carried by the defined ego center, while emotional, sacral and spleen centers remained open. This constellation is rare and comes with great openness to the graphic - and thus also high susceptibility to external influence, which could easily lead to distractions. His truth did not lie in thinking but in what spontaneously and uncensored came from his throat - whereas reason served the open centers and thus rather the interests of others. He therefore had to listen to himself while speaking to recognize what was actually his will and what was only adopted thought. Where he followed things that were truly close to his heart, this emerged as enough willpower to achieve goals and keep promises - even if this consistent pursuit of his own will could appear selfish to others. Another aspect of this authority is the willingness to go beyond limits, leave conventional paths, and lead others into new directions. Important for this configuration is also consciously pausing after achieving goals - continuous work without interruption leads more often to exhaustion than to desired results.

The 3/6 Profile — Martyr / Role Model

Pope Clement XII's design carried the imprint of an experimenter: A person who long experimented and tried-and-errored their way towards what was sustainable for them before committing to a path. In Human Design terminology, this layout belongs to the third profile line, which learns through experiencing success and failure - not through theory but through real experimentation in life itself. This basic attitude was closely linked with his ability to quickly adapt in unforeseen situations: shocks and sudden changes did not cause rigidity but a spontaneous search for the appropriate reaction, driven by courage that arose more from the situation itself than from prior planning.

At the same time, a second level became apparent: pronounced selectivity in handling information and relationships. Pope Clement XII apparently preferred to gather knowledge about connections in secrecy before committing himself, and combined this with deeply rooted responsibility awareness that led him to limit commitments when they stood in the way of a clearly recognized ambition. This combination - cautious, careful selection on one side, a fundamentally generous, open nature on the other - describes a tension field between prudent restraint and the tendency to invest energy even where it was easily lost.

Behind this stood a defined G Center – that center carrying identity, love, and life direction: those who have it well-defined know reliably who they are and show others new paths occasionally without needing to explain why. This was complemented by a defined Heart Center, the seat of willpower and ego: it endowed Pope Clement XII with the ability to make commitments and keep them, represent his own worth, and self-determinedly direct resources – a trait that came with firm determination and the need for recognition of one's contributions.

These two solid areas were contrasted by several open centers, permeable to external influences. The open Sacral Center absorbed others' driving energy and amplified it without having its own consistent power reserve – those so inclined risk easily overrelying on borrowed energy until exhaustion follows. Channel 25-51: Initiation — Channels & Gates

Pope Clement XII's design highlighted a pronounced competitive nature that did not exhaust itself in petty rivalry but rather in the drive to push others toward a decisive step of self-realization. This disposition was carried by Channel Initiation 51-25: Gate 51, the competing ego energy always wanting to be first, connected with Gate 25, the gate of universal love and the ability to care for animate and inanimate equally. As the only channel from the circle of assertive ego energy that did not simultaneously belong to clan-oriented caregiving dynamics, this connection acted as a trigger for "shocks" pushing others toward individuation – a mutative force urging deeper consciousness while also depicting a close relationship between the individual and community.

Additionally, several single gates shaped his profile. Gate 57, the right ear, stood for intuitive clarity and fine attentiveness in the here and now, coupled with fear of tomorrow. Gate 54 combined worldly ambition with mystical insight – the drive for success and enlightenment as two sides of the same movement, supported by an ally. Gate 53 opened up the freedom to begin new developmental cycles, with a pioneer's tendency to leave old paths behind. Gate 2 stood for receptivity as the basis of any direction change, recognizing one sustainable perspective amidst change. This was complemented by Gate 21, the need to direct material things and receive recognition in service to the community, along with Gate 26, the ability to convince even conservative circles of new ideas.

Together, this profile combined a drive for departure, persuasiveness, and the urge for significance.

Individual Circuitry — Circuit Signature

Pope Clement XII's design showed a pronounced tendency toward solid, self-assured convictions that he drew from himself without necessarily articulating them outwardly. Only one channel was active in him: the connection between Identity Center and Heart Center through Gates 25 and 51, the theme of Initiation – facing unexpected, sometimes shocking experiences and emerging strengthened from them. These two centers formed a single cohesive force for him: his divine identity was directly linked to his self-worth, so that disturbances immediately touched upon and strengthened his image of himself. Characteristic of this circuit is that its energies are not much directed outward but rather individualist – solid, courageous personalities with strong convictions often go hand in hand with affirming one's own individuality as well as encouraging others to be who they are. At the same time, lacking a connection to Throat Center, these firm convictions often could not easily be expressed outwardly by him – an inner certainty that rather worked through presence than words. Defined by only this single channel, Pope Clement XII had a Simple Definition: a self-contained, clearly outlined internal constant without further connected areas.

For Pope Clement XII, this was not an external upheaval but rather taking up a new ecclesiastical office - characteristic of his design that the restlessness of this phase found concrete institutional expression.

Later, in 1706 at age 54, he was elevated to Cardinal. This moment coincided with his second Saturn Return cycle, a period where after decades of building up, structure and authority solidify definitively. While the first Saturn Return earlier in life tests whether what has been built stands, the second is about maturely taking on responsibility that had already been prepared for through previous years. His elevation to Cardinal marked this phase as a visible expression of exactly such consolidation: from a church career came an acknowledged high-ranking authoritative position.

A pattern ran across several levels in Pope Clement XII's Human Design: effecting change outward never happened out of his own initiative but only through invitation or recognition. As a Projector, he had to wait until others asked him for leadership; his defined G Center gave him clear direction that he could show but not impose on anyone else. His rare authority in the ego confirmed this: his will became truth only when his actions were rewarding and recognized by himself. The Channel of Initiation made him a role model, yet initiation had to find him, not vice versa. Even his appointments to high church offices coincided with cycles marking turning points: external call rather than self-initiative characterized his rise.

Simultaneously, within him was a powerful competitive drive that stood against this waiting stance. His defined Heart Center pushed for willpower and the need to be first and break through limits; the Channel of Initiation intensified this ambition with shock power and breakthrough energy. Opposing this inner fire was an open Throat Center which did not give him reliable control over his expression.
